主講人簡介:
文鳴,2003年獲得芝加哥大學社會學博士學位,現(xiàn)為美國猶他大學社會學教授,系主任,美國健康部評審專家。文鳴教授是健康、移民、兒童發(fā)展和老齡化方面的社會學家。發(fā)表學術論文80余篇,主持多個NIH和其他基金會資助的項目。曾獲得猶他大學社會與行為科學學院杰出研究獎。多年來致力于研究社會、社會環(huán)境、美國居民體育活動和肥胖的關聯(lián)。還曾研究種族、民族、移民和法律地位引起的能量平衡差異,并深入探究造成這些差異的根本因素。對國內(nèi)的研究側(cè)重于探討社會經(jīng)濟地位、社會關系、家庭環(huán)境和內(nèi)部遷徙對各年齡組人群健康的影響。目前主要從事中美兩國居民終身健康和疾病的社會決定因素研究。
Dr. Ming Wen is Professor and Chair of the Department of Sociology at the University of Utah. She is a sociologist of health, migration, child development, and aging. She received PhD in Sociology from the University of Chicago in 2003. Her research centers on social determinants of health and illness throughout the life course in the United States and China. She is currently working on several funded projects in the U.S. or China. One multi-year project examines how neighborhood and social environmental features affect individual-level odds of physical activity participation and obesity in the United States. She also explores disparities in energy balance outcomes by race, ethnicity, immigrant, and legal status and investigate the mediating factors underlying these disparities. Her research in China focuses on the effects of socioeconomic status, social relationships, living arrangement and family contexts, and internal migration on a range of health and well-being outcomes in various age groups. She has published more than 80 peer-reviewed research articles.
